There are two species of turkey: the wild turkey of eastern and central North America and the ocellated turkey of the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico.
The common turkey is a native game bird that has been domesticated for human consumption on a large scale.
Due to the odd appearance of turkeys, there is a great demand for free drawing instructions on how to draw a turkey.
Therefore, we have compiled a step-by-step lesson on how to draw a turkey, consisting of 8 basic steps with accompanying images. Enjoy yourself and explore your creative potential!
Step By Step Guide On How To Draw Turkey
Start by drawing a perfect circle right above the center of your page. Then, draw a tilted and curved W-shaped line at the top of the skull to produce a feathery texture.
Create the turkey’s body by drawing an elongated form with a small top portion and a larger lower portion directly beneath its head.
Now, draw the turkey’s body outline and legs of turkey as shown in the reference image.
Draw feathers of a turkey on the right side of the drawing to make it look realistic.
Draw many straight lines from the center up to each pointed end of the previous step’s outline. Remember that each line must adhere to the structure of the design.
Following the outline’s initial shape, draw two parallel figures within it.
Similar to the design we sketched previously, the figure should encompass the full head and body of the turkey.
As illustrated in the example, there should be a tiny space between the border of the feathers and this figure.
Now, it’s time to fill color in the drawing. Fill red color in the beak and orange color in the face of the turkey, as shown in the reference image.
Now add multiple colors to the drawing and feathers of the turkey to make it look realistic.
Finish your drawing by filling colors in the pending areas of the drawing, as shown in the reference picture.
